British Atmospheric Data Centre (BADC)

The NERC's Designated Data Centre for the Atmospheric Sciences. The BADC assists researchers in locating, accessing and interpreting atmospheric data such as ozone levels and wind profiles. Most of the datasets, from a range of subjects including; meteorology, climatology and oceanography, are freely available without registration, but access to certain sets may be restricted.Resources available include: a dataset index; the Get Data Gateway which allows users to download data directly over the web from the BADC Archive; Access Rules (for restricted content); and the data Extractor - a web-interface that allows you to define and extract subsets from a number of BADC datasets.
