Research Assessment Exercise Results

The Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) is a peer review exercise which evaluates the quality of research in UK higher education institutions and enables the higher education funding bodies to distribute public funds for research by selectively assessing the quality of research in universities and colleges in the UK. This assessment informs the selective distribution of funds by the UK higher education funding bodies. Any HEI in the UK that is eligible to receive research funding from one of these bodies was eligible to participate. Information on the 2008 and previous RAEs, held in 2001, 1996, and 1992,are also available.

Results can be viewed by unit of assessment, by institution or can be downloaded in Excel format.
