National Centre for Social Research (NCSR)

As the largest independent social research institute in Britain, the centre conducts public surveys commissioned by governmental departments to inform social policy. The centre is or has been responsible for collecting the British Crime Surveys, the British Election Studies, British Social Attitudes, the Family Resources Survey, the Health Survey for England, the Scottish Health Survey, the Scottish School Leavers Survey, the Workplace Employee Relations Surveys, the Youth Cohort Studies, Understanding Society, and international collaborations such as the International Social Survey Programme. No datasets are on the website, but research agendas and publications are available.
