Inventory of higher education data collections

An aggregator web site, the inventory of HE data collections has been created for two main reasons:

  1. to help data collectors gain a better understanding of what other collections are being undertaken and
  2. to help HE providers get a better understanding of which data collections they are responding to.

The inventory is available to download as an Excel file here. It includes details of data collections that have been gathered from various sources across the sector. It also includes links to the Key Information Set list of Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs) where relevant. From the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) to the Yorkshire and the Humber Strategic Health Authority. Fields include URL of the collecting organisation, and a brief description of its functions, as well as name and brief description of the data collected, frequency and timing of collection, etc. Current edition (June 2014) contains over 500 data collection projects.
