ILOSTAT database

Alternative Title:
Has replaced the LABORSTA Internet

This ILO (International Labour Organisation) database of labour statistics provides multiple datasets with annual and infra-annual labour market statistics for over 100 indicators and 230 countries, areas and territories. The following datasets are available:

  • Annual indicators dataset contains standardized indicators for purposes of greater comparability across countries and relies heavily on the official submission of data by national authorities.
  • Short term indicators dataset contains monthly, quarterly and semi-annual data drawn from official websites of national authorities and is updated on a monthly basis.
  • Estimates and projections dataset contains country estimates and projections of the total population, labour force, and participation rates by sex and age.
  • YouthSTATS dataset includes a comprehensive set of indicators on young people between the ages of 15 and 29 years in the developing world. Data have been tabulated from an inventory of over 150 micro data files of household surveys.
  • Special collections dataset covers additional data available from the ILO that are collected on a less frequent basis, e.g. the underlying data to the ILO’s biennial publication Global Wage Report.
