The Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) collects data about the finance and staff of UK publicly-funded higher education (HE) institutions on an annual basis, covering the academic financial year (1 August - 31 July).
HEIDI contains datasets from HESA from 2000/2001 onwards. These detailed datasets, which relate to students, staff and finance, are available by institution, cost centre or JACS (Joint Academic Coding System) code. Detailed breakdowns of NSS (National Student Survey), UCAS (Universities & Colleges Admissions Service) application data, estate management statistics and key financial indicators are also available. New data are added to HEIDI as they become available throughout the annual cycle.
