The Centre for Longitudinal Study Information and User Support works closely with the ONS Longitudinal Studies (LS) Unit to provide custom analyses from the study upon request by academic users. Resources include aggregated data on Ethnicity, Survival, Limited Long-term Illnesses, a searchable LS data dictionary, 'How to use the ONS LS' guide
(Due to confidentiality restrictions, the statistical analyses can only be run on ONS computers.) The LS matches 1% of individual records from the 1971, 81, 91, and 2001 England and Wales Censuses with the cancer registry and vital events data to allow powerful longitudinal analyses of individuals and their household members.
Aggregated data is available in SPSS and Stata formats
